John Vlismas

An award-winning comedian, John Vlismas is one of South Africa’s most creative, prolific and well-known international comics.

He has performed all over the world and is a firm favourite on the SA comedy scene and a household name to boot!

His latest one-man show – ‘The Good Racist’ – enjoyed 6 successful weeks at the Pieter Toerien Theatre (JHB), received wide acclaim, and further cemented his position as one of SA’s top performers.

The man is intelligent, witty and quite unashamedly hilarious!

He is in Australia from May 7th to 21st for the first ‘South African Comedy All-Stars’ show, as well as to perform ‘The Good Racist’.

Angel Campey (Cape Town):

Comedienne and award-winning comedy writer, Campey has been on all the major festival stages, been part of numerous big arena comedy line-ups and has also appeared on Comedy Central Africa with ‘Kings and Queens of Comedy’.

She was nominated in 2015 for an Mbokodo award in comedy by the department of Arts and Culture, which means the government likes what she’s doing.

She’s not sure how she feels about that. But with the name Angel, at least she’s not a stripper.

Simba the Comic King (Zimbabwe):

Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of stand-up comedy in Zimbabwe, Simba has been in the industry over a decade and has performed with Africa’s top acts.

He has written and performed 2 One-Man Shows and was awarded the National Arts Merit for “Most Outstanding Comedian” in 2014.

Gino Fernandez (Cape Town):

With almost 13 years of comedy under his belt and the key corner stone of Cape Town Comedy! Gino Fernandez is one of the most bankable comedians playing the South African comedy scene, guaranteed laughter when and wherever this comedian takes the stage.

Sharp wit and well constructed material along with some crowd playing improve he is sure to tickle your funny bone leading to side splitting laughter that will leave audiences rolling down the isles! If you have not booked him, you should, if you have not seen him then go now!

Kurt Langeveld (Cape Town)

Born and raised in the heart of the Cape Flats, this man’s witty and poignant cultural observations on life in today’s crazy world will have you in stitches! Langeveld has performed alongside SA’s comedy elite all around the country.
