Dr. Henning Gericke is Team Psychologist for the Springbok Rugby Team and is in France with the team for the IRB Rugby World Cup 2007
Among Springbok players he has been nick named the Head Doctor – ‘Kopdoktor’.
In the early 1980’s he broke the 4 minute mile on 10 occassions and was considered a potential medal hopeful at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. However, he was unable to compete due to the international isolation of South Africa.
